By using Oracle Views(stored queries), the complexity and the amount of application's queries can be decreased to eliminate any unnecessary database hits. Implementation of Oracle Indexes combining with proper Index management using SQL Hints can increase application performance dramatically. In certain cases performance increase can be up to 200% and more. However, all that performace tuning options require deep knowledge and a lot of experience and not every development team is capable of doing it.
